A space where women can laugh, connect, get competitive in a fun way, and realise the table was never just a “guys’ thing.”
Ladies Who Bluff started the way most good ideas do, over a chat and a “wait… why doesn’t this already exist?”
Our founder is a professional poker dealer with over six years behind the table, watching people learn the game, take risks, overthink their hands, surprise themselves, and slowly realise poker is way more fun than they expected. Somewhere along the way, she fell in love with more than just the game. She fell in love with what it does for people. The confidence. The laughter. The “I can’t believe I just did that” moments.
Then came a simple conversation at a social catch up. A friend heard what she did and said, “I’ve always wanted to try poker.” Not because she wanted to become a pro. Just because it looked fun… but also a little intimidating.
And that was the spark.
Because once it came up, it became obvious. So many women are curious about poker and would love to try it, but have always assumed, “It’s a guys’ thing…”
So we decided to change that story.
Ladies Who Bluff is a female-led poker experience designed to flip the table on what poker nights usually feel like. No pressure. No ego. No “you should already know this” energy. Just a room full of women laughing too loud, getting competitive in the best way, and having way more fun than they expected.
Yes, you’ll learn the game along the way. But more importantly, you’ll be part of something that feels social, empowering, and a little bit cheeky. The kind of night where you surprise yourself, back yourself, and maybe even pull off a bold move you didn’t think you had in you.
Because this isn’t just about poker.
It’s about women taking up space at the table, having fun while they do it, and realising they were always meant to be there.
Meet The Founder
Ladies Who Bluff was founded by Alysha Bragil, the award-winning Creative Strategist behind Wow Studios.
After more than a decade helping businesses build memorable brands and experiences, Alysha wanted to create something completely different; an experience that brought women together to laugh, learn something new and enjoy a night out that didn't revolve around the usual dinner or drinks.
Combining her creative skills with her passion for bringing people together and her experience as a poker dealer, she created Ladies Who Bluff: a space where women can try something new, step outside their comfort zone, build confidence and discover that poker is far less intimidating (and far more fun) then they ever imagined.
And from that idea, Ladies Who Bluff was born.
While Wow Studios and Ladies Who Bluff are very different businesses, they share one thing in common: creating experiences that leave people feeling more confident, inspired and empowered.
